A non-fandom friend mentioned this article to me earlier; it’s interestingly bollocks isn’t it? Particular factual errors that leap to mind are the misspelling of fanfiction.net and the term “slash” being used for erotic fics of any flavour - since when? It’s been slash, femslash and het in all the fandoms I’ve ever dwelt in.
They seem very fixated on the porn as well. They should try some fluff and casefic and see if that takes the edge off for them.
